Elin’s latest CD is Elgar’s ‘The Starlight Express’, released by Chandos, and featuring baritone Roderick Williams, narrator Simon Callow and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Sir Andrew Davis. Tune in to S4C this Sunday night, June 24th at 8pm, to see Elin present a broadcast of the European premiere of the opera ‘Mandela Trilogy’, performed by the Cape Town Opera Company. This inspirational and moving work was performed this week at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, and Elin was lucky enough to meet the cast and crew and be an integral part of the documentary about its creation.

Next week Elin will be in St Alban’s Cathedral performing John Rutter’s Magnificat with the composer himself conducting. This concert is to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the wonderful Purcell School, and other featured performers will be Mark Wilde and Michael Bundy. Elin’s latest CD, Lazarus Requiem by Patrick Hawes, will be released on April 2nd. Featuring the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, with soloists Thomas Walker and Rachael Lloyd, this disc sees the composer himself conducting his magnificent oratorio, recorded here for the first time. Look out for it on Signum Classics, just in time for Easter.
